Denver, Colorado, USA

1/8/11

It's nice to be back home in the USA, I'm definitely not going to leave any time soon. In fact, I'm not going to leave my house at all for a few days.

Quito, Ecuador

1/5/11

Decided to come to Quito before going home. There are some very colorful buildings around the city. The colors are so vivid it looks as if they were just painted yesterday. But I'm going to leave tomorrow to go home. I'm going to just eat something, then sleep for a day. I feel very tired of traveling, I don't think I'll do this again soon. In fact I'm going to try and not leave the country for five years. But Equador is about 100 thousand square miles, with almost 15 million people. It's nice though that they use United States Dollars, I don't have to attempt to convert anything! And each person makes 5 thousand dollars a year, things are very cheap. I think I'm going to go see the cathedral of quito, which was built in 1567.

Bogotá, Colombia

1/2/11

I just got to Bogotá. It's really cloudy. And I decided to spend an extra two days in Al Khurtum. Even though I'm in a hurry, flying every other day was making my legs ache. So I slept a whole day and relaxed the next. But here in Bogotá it is a bit cooler. It's nothing to take too much notice of, it's actually nice. Also, Colombia is 450 thousand square miles with a population of 45 million. And it seems that the money in every country besides america has very colorful currency. Each person makes about 5 thousand dollars a year here, which must be enough to live on. Also, they use pesos for currency. And I will attempt to spend as little time talking to people as I can. I can only say a few words in spanish and most everyone here speaks spanish. And I'm going to go look at the Moloka, an interactive science museum.

Al Khurtum, Sudan

12/30/10

Just got to A Khurtum. I am literally leaving first thing tomorrow, I'm really homesick and want to get back as soon as possible, but I also want to go to every continent on the earth, besides Antarctica of course. It's quite hot, as most people would guess. The country is almost a million square miles, with roughly 44 million people throughout. Most people speak either Arabic, English, or both. Each person makes one and a half thousand dollars a year, and the currency is the Sudanese pound. There are some cool birds nearby, and it's easy to find them in the shade. There's not many interesting things nearby, which gives me more reason to leave soon. I'm going to see the University of Khartoum at some point, it looks interesting, and was founded in 1902.

Cairo, Egypt

12/27/10

Just got to Egypt, so far it is obviously quite hot. In fact I don't think it could get much hotter and have people live here, it feels like a giant oven. There is almost 80 million people throughout the country, which is approximately 400 thousand square miles. The currency is similar to England, they use Egyptian pounds. And each person makes almost 3000 dollars a year, again I still do not know what the conversion rate is so I don't know if that is a lot. I'm going to stay for as little time as I can, I want to get home soon. I'm going to leave tomorrow after I see the pyramids and Sphinx. Which are possibly the most well known monuments in human history, and the great pyramids are the last standing of the 7 ancient wonders of the world.
